Hi. You commented on my newest post for feedback. :) I see you write a lot about Justin Bieber, he’s pretty cool. I do have a few things that you should look into;
1.) Wording:
Since writing is all about the imagination and words, you should choose them wisely! This means: try not to repeat words, make sure your sentences are well structured and complete. This also means rereading to check for mistakes. It’s called editing or proofreading.
2.) Grammar and Punctuation:
Periods, commas, question mark, quotations and exclamation points are key to setting your mood. Choose these wisely, they help convey the overall mental image, and keep your piece clean and professional!
3.) Order:
We were all informed on the order in which things happen. For instance, the rain cycle. It gathers in the sky, falls, and becomes water for plants, runoff and is also evaporated to restart the cycle. You have to follow a certain order in your pieces. They have to flow like a river; soft, smooth and always leading to something bigger— like the ocean!
4.) Main Characters | Main Points:
Each story has a character, or a voice, an imaginary picture and an overall point and/or lesson. Like with the tortoise and hare- “slow and steady wins the race” was the lesson. So you should have a point to your writings, such as a lesson, plot twist or actual story. This can be based off of real stuff that happened to you or someone you know- or totally fiction!
My advice to you is as follows:
Keep writing about Justin Bieber, that’s totally fine! But how about you find a good prompt, and start including JB in a story? For example, this prompt could be used in a way where Justin Bieber is playing a game with a few producing friends. It could be a Karaoke game!
This is all basic feedback, nothing too advanced. But I do wish you the best on your journey, you can only get better! Sending love and hope, have a nice day/night. 🖤
