POEM STARTER
Adelaide T. Everett
Write a poem that starts each new line with the last word of the last line.
For example: I love you so,
So I have to go.
Loneliness
When you are lost within the darkness,
Darkness always finds a way to grab hold,
Hold your breath,
Breath which steams up the window as your wait for their return,
Return home to an empty room,
Room for you of which there is none.
None of them miss you.
You are alone.
Alone with your thoughts and their insulting words.
Words of which you listened to too many times.
Times of when it was better than it is now.
Now it’s all gone to hell.
Hell is where I am going.
Going alone as I always did.
