POP

The venom hung to the black spider’s fangs, just before it bit down on the encapsulated prey. It moved automatically and with pure instinct. There was nothing in its mind to convince it otherwise. It felt the strong tug of the web, and quickly made its way to begin the feast. It paid no attention to the size or lack of fight. The web had worked and now it was time to reap the rewards. A quick bite to immobilize was imminent…POP. Suddenly everything shook, and the spider tried to jump but it was launched anyway. Falling out of reach of the web, it caught a glance of the intricate structure that was woven with the many eyes and legs. Though now it was less than 8 legs, as 3 had somehow separated following the pop. The web now with a gaping shred in it, still hung on the outer edges. The spider reached the unforgiving ground, falling beside was the aggressive prey. It was a small firework, that had been tossed into the air, lightly landing in the web. The spider tried to run away from it, it was now dark and burned, not white and intact like before. However as it tried to move, all it could do was move in a circle. The firework had done its damage and the spider realized this is where it would stay.
