this day is a reminder

of what I don’t have

But there’s been someone

there all along

Who is everything

both parent roles

They cook and clean

Cut the lawn and yard work

Do the laundry and shopping

Kill the bugs in the house

Give me life advice

Dual job

Mother and father

Yet one person

Today is a day of celebration

It is a reminder

of what I do have

An amazing mom
