Forgotten sketch books piled in a jammed drawer
Yoda, her ragged beige cat with glassy green eyes
Crumbled notes of secrets passed along in classrooms
A battery-dead gameboy filled with laughter and frustration
The altered memories of a past life in a world away
Away from her scattered paintings in a sharp white desk
From the slow wink of her black cat’s yellow eyes
From the lively beginning of a ...
Grateful, something I can barely express.
Something hard for me to show.
Even though I’m often grateful I lack of the emotions to show it to the outside.
I’m grateful there is someone who atleast is sometimes just there talking.
I’m grateful that I’ve gotten help, that I’m trying to open up more.
Even when it gets bitter in the end I’m grateful I met him.N.
I’m grateful for the memories passing ...
I don’t say it enough: “thank you”
Thank you to my mom, who has been through a lot, but still manages to be the bomb. Who has never stopped staying calm and is always giving me the things she never could have. Ever since I came out of the womb shes been my place, someone I could go to.
I don’t say it enough: “thank you”
Thank you to my dad, who has stuck around and not left for milk. Even if he...
Today is a day of loss
Father’s Day
Let’s see:
My Dad, gone
My Poppop, gone
My Grandpa, hospital
It really feels like
this day is a reminder
of what I don’t have
But there’s been someone
there all along
Who is everything
both parent roles
They cook and clean
Cut the lawn and yard work
Do the laundry and shopping
Kill the bugs in the house
Give me life advice
Dual job
Mother and father
Yet one...
The breath of fresh air that swifts through my lungs thousands of times a day, the energy sprinted to my muscles to allow for movement, the ability to taste, hear, touch, see and smell.
That is what I'm grateful for.
The life you gave me, that, I should be grateful for, and the fact you won't take away that same life.
There's food on the table and a roof over my head that's what I should be grat...
What are three things you are grateful for?
Three?
Let me think
One for my boyfriend,
my soon to be husband
Who loves me completely
When I thought no one needed me
My light in the dark
Two my family
Without them I would not be me
No success without failure
Reassuring me it’ll be okay
For tomorrow is a new day
Three for my friends,
Without them I’d still be lonely
No community to make me belie...
“Where do you see yourself
In five years?”
This question is the opposite of
Music to my ears.
Funny, if I knew the answer,
My life wouldn’t be an adventure-
The rollercoaster of a lifetime,
Loops of pain and pleasure.
Five years ago I didn’t know
Who I’d be today;
I didn’t know if I’d even be alive
To see another day.
Who knew I’d exceed my
Lack of expectations,
And be the person I didn’t
Know ...
Today im grateful for another chance at life.
Even thought it isn’t always what I want it to be.
For my for family and all those who believe in me.
For who I’ll be in the future, who I was yesterday and who I am today.
I’m even grateful for all the trial and tribulations I endure because in the end I’m always okay....
