You left me in the corner of your eye,
Words I desperately long to say
To the one I loved and lost,
The one that hurts me to this day.
I want to be the one that cares,
Words I told him so many times
But he prayed to god,
Prayed that I would suffer.
Stick your middle fingers up
And flip them to god.
His prayer came true,
And that’s when I knew
I would be forever condemned to
A life without him.
A crown of seventy thorns
Placed upon my now torn
Mind
As my world was set aflame.
I want to be the one who hurts you,
He would say,
Because no roses ever come without thorns.
