Nostalgia

I overcompensated when bringing us back together. I put in all my effort to repair our friendship. I tried. I just miss what we used to be.

Hot summer days of running around the neighborhood. Climbing trees and talking about who we wanted to be. Eating lemons and trying not to make a face. Bouncing on the trampoline when we had too much energy. Then, falling asleep in the grass till our parents called us to eat dinner.

Those were the good days of laughter and carefree adventures. Now, no one has time for fun. Our lives filled with anxiety to the point of no return. Too insecure to try again.
