Glow
A soft pale white glow reflected onto the sea, causing the waves to light up as if it were under spotlights. The ripples were lined with white, giving the ocean a surreal look. The waves washed up onto the shore, slowly pulling the sand back into its depths. The sound of the water crashing filled the air. The white foam seemed to have a pale aura, lighting up the shifting sands. The night sky was full of stars, along with two pure white circles, filling the world with its bright yet peaceful light.
My eyes gazed up at the constellations, a light breeze shifting through my hair. It was fresh and crisp, and it held the scent of the salty water, blowing it up the beach. I lay back, the sand providing a soft cushion for my head.
It was serene, and beautiful. I lay there until the moons set on the horizon, turning the sky from the navy blue it was before into shades of pinks and purples and oranges. I watched the sun peek through the clouds that rested far out at sea. Rays of golden light shot through, changing the serene beauty of the pale light into a welcoming warmth.
I breathed it in. The salt air, the warm light, the pink and orange clouds against the dim blue sky. I closed my eyes, taking one last breath of awareness before slipping into oblivion.
