POEM STARTER

Write a rhyming poem that explores differing perspectives on an event.

Dual narratives and the need for repeated sounds will create an interesting dynamic in this poem!

A Body In Moss

Oh my goodness

Oh my gosh

There’s a body

Who hid it behind moss?

Not my brother Michael

He was so kind

Who hid him behind moss

And fractured his spine?

I heard on the news

What an interesting find

I hope the killer is found

And punished for their crime

I did it

I hid that body in the moss

I’m afraid that I’ll be punished

For a crime I did not cause

I’m so lucky, it’s insane

Broke his back, with a cane

Now someone else will take the blame

I’m so lucky, it’s insane
