It was there when I saw a girl younger then myself zip line across the arcade and landed on the other side. It would be fun I thought

Until I realized the zip line was the ending to a par core I followed the worker inside the boxed in dome by the rock climbing

A second guy hooked me up in a harness making sure it was secure. Then I followed the first guy he hooked my vest line to a metal railing that went up the stairs

After climbing three flights my mom seemed like a small ant I got up on the platform and went to my left. Towards the rope web I made the mistake of looking down, being no where near the ground my brain started to panic

But I wanted to do this so I took my first step on the rope and crab shuffled over two web ropes I made it through the first test

The second one was easy it was just walking on tall foam platforms over the small boxed in start point. Once I made it across the platform I had to walk across long square

Things only problem they move almost like a jacob’s latter but I figured it out pretty quick

I reached out with my sweaty palm and grabbed the Velcro rope and swung myself to the next step

The other one reminded me of the painted footprints you’d see at the zoo only this time it was outside the rock wall climb

I forced myself to think it was the footprints on the floor made it across no problem

I walked across large foam squares until I made it to the floating surfboards too small for my comfort considering I was wearing socks with slippy grippy’s I boldly stepped out and instantly the surfboard moved quickly to the right i nearly lost my balance and almost fell.

By now the fear started rolling in after I steadied myself mom kept saying to keep moving but I froze in fear scared that I would die if I fell

The first guy called asking if I was alright

I lied saying I was fine by now I was almost done with the course. Glancing over to the starting point I noticed a whole group of workers I brought my attention back to the course then looked back at the start and saw this one girl run across the course like Mario from super Mario

She was with me in seconds

She hooked my line with hers and held the surfboard with her foot and we made it across i finally got to the zip line bit

And the scene from into the spider verse played in my head

“It’s a leap of faith, that’s all it is miles.”

I walked up to the zip line and

Sat down and pushed off it felt like I was flying for a split ten seconds I landed safely on the other side I followed the pathway out and got to go down a slide

Mom was waiting for me on the other side she gave me a hug telling me she’s so proud

Then should me that she FaceTimed dad

Dad looked me in the eyes saying I am Very proud of you

And to me that was worth the entire obstacle course

Not bad for a person who’s scared of heights 😏
