In The Golden Night

In a world of materialism and hoarding,
Fools can live their entire lives without
Fully appreciating the treasure of nature’s beauty.
A old man was lying on damp grass
Starring into the dark of night.
He noticed how the star-filled midnight sky
Made him seem insignificant.
He thought to himself these words:
“In a world of pain and suffering,
Abuse and Neglect,
Of Death and of Illness,
I cry tears of joy
To know that the golden night shines
For me even though I don’t deserve it.”
