Canvas Of A Flower
Bruises littered my skin
Oil on my self destructive canvas
As I kept creeping onward
Pushing past my limits to the very end
A punch to the liver
Just another layer to my canvas
As I painted away
Carving my body to fit the mold of my passions
The bruises that littered my body echoed to the world I was fighting
Tested by those that have already made it
As they looked to see if I had the grit to go on
Although it was brutal
Each day expanded my horizons
For the experts building me had there expansion
Blooming to met the expectations their coach’s put on to them
Now it was my turn
Fighting each day
As I fell into the world of martial arts
Trying so desperately to prove I was growing as my coaches instructed
Although I was nothing but an amateur
I was in love with fighting
That was what kept me going
I had to grow into my coaches expectations
And join their ranks
As a flower in the garden
For I refused to be the weed that stayed behind
