On The Bright Side
Faye Bright was never the same after her twin brother Finn died in a tragic drowning accident. Her family was never the same either. Living in a small shack on the outskirts of a town, they’ve since fallen under hard times with money and it has been a struggle every day. Faye feels as though her life is crumbling and will never be good again. She cannot see the brightness amongst the darkness. If it weren’t for her parents, she is not sure if she would have any reason to keep going. One night, Faye is woken up by a bright light coming from behind the door of their shack. She cautiously approaches, then opens the door. When she walks into the light she finds herself in a giant room that resembles the lobby of a hotel. She was in a hotel, but a magical one with floating elevators and funny talking pieces of furniture. A few moments after her arrival, Faye is greeted by a peculiar character named Pisce who acts as the hotel’s receptionist. The receptionist leads Faye to her assigned room and Faye enters. Every room in the magical hotel leads to a different world specific for each person. In Faye’s world she will go on a journey, meet interesting characters and eventually learn the value of looking on the bright side. She will learn that she should value the life she has, keep looking forward, and don’t focus on the darkness. Faye will return to her real world life with these newfound views on life.
