Suffering sad eyes

Follow him around the room

Pleading him to stop

Windows to the soul

Shattered battered and beaten

Shades of black and blue

Bleeding tears stream down

He can change she knows he can

Mascara covered

He bought her flowers

“I’m sorry” he would tell her

“I had a bad day”

She saw in his eyes

His empty and hollow eyes

He didn’t mean it

Heading for the door

She’s been abused long enough

He blocks the doorway

Her eyes go dead red

Bringing down a knife to flesh

His eyes are lifeless
