Just Don’t Forget To Say Goodnight
Jam spilling off your wheat bread,
Joke that you had too much to drink,
Jar still sitting on your bed.
Jealousy’s fine, but so is trust,
Just don’t let promises turn to dust,
Jet-legged and high, they say we must.
Jackets are out of season,
Jaded, I search for a reason.
Journaling with my head in your lap,
Juice drips down your back,
Jaw perfectfly in-tact.
Jail won’t be the end of this fight—
Just don’t forget to say goodnight.
