all the stars are going out

who will be my guiding light

where will i look when i don’t know where to go

where is our new rising star

where is the one like us

because i’m not ready for it to be me

sun's not down yet 

but it’s getting to be late in the afternoon

stars shine long after they’re dead

but when will we see new ones blink into existence?

when will we know if there is a new north star?
