Tapping in Ryethem to the sonnets being read

I knew going would be bad

I know it would make my breaths quick and fast

But I had to go

I needed to see, to know I was right

The assembly was short

But I’m still thinking about it

Even though I was crying through it

Even though it caused a panic attack

It was worth it

Worth it to hear her story

Worth it to know mine was real

Worth it to finally let go

I wanted to be like her

Free of her burdened past

But still

I cried

Because even with him gone he makes me cry

Even when his skin isn’t touching mine I can still feel him

What has he made me

She said it changed her whole life

Will it change mine?

I don’t want to be left on the streets while he sits with a wife and kid at the dinner table

But I won’t

I hope

I don’t know

But he isn’t with me anymore

And that’s all that matters
