Me and my book club girls gathered every Friday to discuss the weekly book. Our group involved, Mary, Julia, Libby, Kendra, Elsi, Emmy and me, Darla. Mary being the head of the group. This weeks book was, “When no one is watching.” A horror book which was a genre which we all enjoyed. The interesting plot twists, insane side effects due to the plot was what drew me to this genre. “What do we all think of this book?” Mary said smiling. As it went down from girl to girl listing what we had thought about the book they got to me. “Darla what do you think?” Mary snipped at me. I looked at all of the girls, they had their eyes on me. “I think this book is about psychology, how to trick people’s minds into thinking you could trust them.” I replied smiling at each and every one of the girls. “Very well, I think we can all finish up for today!” Mary smiled. As we all started packing up Emmy ran up to me. “You think you know what you’re doing but you don’t.” She told me. “I have no idea what you’re talking about?” I told her. My voice breaking knowing I most certainly did know what she was talking about. She knew my plan, she knew why I was here, in this book club. That’s when the lights went out, everything was silent and still. “When no one is watching.” A voice said.
