A far cry from anything

I've known for so long.

Smashed guitar, pieces astray

And tears on my face

I never thought I'd be so lonely

In this kind of place.

The rainwater wets the floor

Puddle bigger than my tears

I don't care that the broken glass hurts

I care that I've witnessed my worst fears

I try to play my favourite tune

On the guitar, but it's been so long
