POEM STARTER
Try writing a romantic Pantoum.
A pantoum is a poem where each stanza is 4 lines, and the second and fourth line of each stanza are repeated as the first and third lines of the next.
an apology & a plea
More than friends
Less than lovers
Just some strangers
Who can’t forget a single thing about each other
Less than lovers,
but you plague my dreams
Each night a memory
A new scene
But you plague my memories
Oh dear one
Why must you haunt me so
Why must you fill them with woe?
Oh dear one
I will love you forever
If not always
A piece of my heart is yours
I will love you forever
And this my farewell to you
Lead a new life
Begin anew
And this is my farewell to you
And an apology as well
We heart each other,
But I hope you’re happy in the ends
And an apology as well,
Is this poem
I love you, and I’m sorry
That this ended this way, this love story
Is this poem
For me? Or for you?
I hope it brings me closure
And helps start anew
For me? Or for you?
Hopefully both
But the more I try,
You’re love I can’t ignore
Hopefully both
Sorry and love are felt by you
Because you broke me
And did much more than that
