POEM STARTER
Human souls are part of a pattern too large to see in each individual. Together, we form something greater than we can imagine.
Write a poem based on this idea. It can be loosely related, but should focus on the theme of individuals vs. togetherness.
Joined
His soul, her soul.
Their souls are joined
together by human nature,
Like everyone else’s.
Together, we all
Can conquer anything.
We, joined together,
Could take control of the universe.
And yet, we still
Isolate ourselves
Keep away from certain
Types of people,
Because of their skin
Or hair
Or beliefs.
Joined, we could
Be so much better
As a race.
