WRITING OBSTACLE
Inspired by Junie
Write a story from the perspective of an owl at night.
How would their senses be different, and how could you describe this?
Owl Sight
The field at twilight,
Eyes reflected the starlight.
Surveying my hunting ground,
For even the slightest of sounds.
Head moving to the tiny chatter,
Rodentβs claws they do patter.
My taloned feet gripping this perch,
A heavy wind making it lurch.
The chill rustling the corn,
Hiding the rodentβs form.
I launch with the wind,
Rodents do not rescind.
Descending into the crops,
Eyes on the prize.
Claws twice their size,
They were never going to stop.
