Fire

“Hey I’m going to head home.” I glance up at my friends playing air hockey. “You’re not even going to cash in your tickets?” Trevor says, to busy playing the game to look at me. “Yeah, just tired.” I reply. I feel my girlfriend grab my waist. “Well, if you get bored, call me.” She gives me a peck on my cheek. Electricity in my face. “Wow Cassia, blushing much.” Gianna whispers in my ear, putting her head against my temple. Her hands around my waist. “Babe, I have to go.” I feel her breathing. “Fine, but we have to do this again.” She lets go of me. I start to walk out of the arcade. “Yeah, of course.”

I bike down the sidewalk. The cinema, the supermarket, the Methodist. The outdoor mall, all so fimilar. “HELP!” I hear a woman scream. I glance down from where I heard the woman. I see a woman, she’s tall, blonde, wearing a white dress, with blood all over her. Almost like Carrie White. “RUN!!!!” She screams at me. I see a long white man, behind her. I start to bike the fastest I’ve ever. Wind rushing in my face. I bike, till I can’t anymore. My bike crashes, and so do I. I’m in a neighborhood. Both my arms are twisted backwards, I’m on my back. I stare up to see the skinny white man approach me. “FIREEEEEE!” I scream with the loudest voice I’ve ever used.

The ambulance takes me to the ER. The police take the skinny white man, his name, Edward Harids. I fall asleep in the ambulance. “Cassia Eleni Argyros!” I hear my mother say, her thick greek ancient fills the room. “Both of your arms?” Dad says. “Yeah.” Somehow, being in the emergency room with my parents make something way much better.
