Water So Small, So Secret
Glimmers of flashes lost within the steady stream of fish. So steady yet a never-ending movement lulling you along to the beauties of its lie. Lies. Lies so beautiful it’s almost true. Yet at the bottom of all this a secret too silent to keep. A secret that must escape . Escape into him. Our saviour and our end. With a final kiss the lake glistening with jewels of our tears became one with the world. A species doomed to death for existing in such a cursed planet. Doomed for poisoning the fresh waters of our spite and fear in order to teach it how to grow and feed. The dark shadow passed across our fate as it rose to its full height, terrorising our lives in ways mankind could not help but submit to. Evolution, adaptation, and joy disproven with the appearance of ourselves mirrored a thousand. A beauty so horrifying that we accept with open arms as silent wells pour from our eyes in excuse of the sorrow filling our blackened hearts.
