WRITING OBSTACLE

Inspired by Junie

Write a story from the perspective of an owl at night.

How would their senses be different, and how could you describe this?

A Big Semi-circle

His piercing yellow eyes gleamed in the moonlight. His senses were keen, making him able to see every object in an eerie way. Then he saw a little figure scurry beneath the undergrowth. He heard the leaves rustle. Swooping down to grab the mouse, something hard hit him, sending him tumbling down. “Who…” he whimpered. “Daddy! Daddy! There’s an owl,” he heard a weird sound behind him. Steps that could squash a whole bush. Then a figure came into view, a tall animal with fur sprouting only out of its head. Weird things were draped on the thing's body. “Who, who?” He asked. “Emily,” the things sounds were gentle and calm. Then it wrapped its hands around him. “I promise to keep you safe little buddy. I’ll name you…” it looked at his wing seeing the thing that had knocked him out of the sky. She slowly pulled it off. “Dart. I’ll name you Dart.” He only understood one thing it said. My name is Dart and I am safe. The thing started walking to the house, having a big semi-circle on her face. Then he realized something. He did too.

HardCoreWriter—I am SO sorry for not writing for about three weeks. There’s still just a lot going on in my personal life, so it’s hard to write every day. I’m trying to at least write once a week, though, so hopefully, I can. I’m so happy that I’m a writer on this app sharing with you. I hope you all have a terrific week!!!♡♡♡♡♡♡
