In hedgerows sing robins bright,

They chirp at dawn, with hearts alight,

A flash of red, then out of sight.

Sparrow flits from branch to ground,

A cheery chatter, all around,

Among dense leaves its nest is found.

Blackbird calls from twilight trees,

Its song floats sweetly on the breeze,

A tune carries through as summer leaves.
