No one at all

There was no whirlwind wild and angry,

No raging sea, to bounce its pain,

No sinful thoughts or frightful demons,

No sound at all, that morning.

They said no silly lovely nothings,

No promises, no vows in vain,

There was no secret, awful story

No words at all, that morning.

Nobody stopped to criticize my actions,

No accusations against deities,

No threats were made, no violence or grief,

No storms at all, that morning.

Yet, someone stole my heart and ran for cover,

Leaving me bleeding in despair,

Not knowing love could be such minefield!

I looked beyond horizons, there was empty,

Nothing at all, no one at all…

That morning.
