Writing is my happy place. Even when my stories are sad, or when my voice is filled with anger, they always take me to that place of peace and serenity. I’m not a writer. I just let my heart speak its truths and I’m grateful if someone likes it.

The day I turned 18, sweet sunny, summer day!

Was I by forest’s edge, kept saying I’m okay,

That day, from all of days, wasn’t supposed to cry!

That day, unlike the others, wasn’t about goodbyes!

I wanted, one more time, first time in adulthood,

To hug a special oak tree, my friend so strong and good,

To tell him that I’m sorry I didn’t come to see

Under a sky of diamonds,

remember, my love,

you looked into me,

so deeply within me!

Red as a flame, my cheeks

felt warmer and tender

when you cupped my face,

“I knew you’re a volcano!”

from wrong, when the one
