POEM STARTER

Write a poem that could be sung as a lullaby.

You could set it to the tune of an existing lullaby, or think up your own rhythm. Remember that lullabies are for children, and are ususally meant to be calming.

Little Spider

Poetry

Little spider crawl

Across the floor to freedom

Closer to your home

Little spider dance

You will see your mama soon

Sweet and scared spider

Little spider slow

You live among the sunshine

Don’t you want to stay?

Little spider

Crawling dancing slowing

Falling prancing going

Stalling can’t show you

The way home

Little spider

Home is close

Just keep going

And when you get there you can sleep.
