Forgotten
You’ve forgotten about me,
Haven’t you.
I am, indeed, an old trinket,
Forgotten and bruised.
You played with me like a toy,
Smiling and laughing,
Until I bored you and was not enough.
Now I lie and rust,
With eternal wounds that have scarred.
You’ve forgotten about me,
But I can never forget you.
The small marks upon my sullen skin
Could write out your name.
I was just a toy for your amusement;
Now I am a bundle of memories,
Forgotten and scarred.
