Every day seems the same

The voices won’t go away

They talk so fast and loud

Reminding me of my flaws

My worthlessness growing

Mind swirling, thoughts turn

They tell me how to escape

“Fight pain with more pain

Slit your wrist and hide away

Don’t let anyone find out”

I know they’re wrong but

They’re also quite right

So I cut my pain away

Tell everyone that I’m fine

Even when I’m dying inside

Maybe pain I make I can take

The cuts get bigger, deeper

But I can’t feel the wounds

Only the relief they bring

Until I get consumed
