Eye For An Eye

You’re a distant memory

Of the way I used to be

So caring and thought free

It couldn’t possibly be

Two ships pass in the night

Below the pale moonlight

The shadow reflects

The memory of ourselves

How can I take my faith back?

Lay your arms

Weak at the knees

Do what you want

Do what you please

They say sadness comes in waves

But how can I know

When I’m drowning beneath

The current pulls me out

As the ship passes by

They cannot save you

Don’t bother to cry

Life’s all an eye for an eye
