Clowns
As I sit here in my home of a cell
Is it daylight or night I can hardly tell
The word around the tin is that today I get out
But there has been daily rumors shouting about
It has been twenty or so years according to the scratches
That I have marked from day one with the old matches
The lights are on and the man has arrived to my room
Is he bringing me good news or is it the regular doom
It’s seems that he was there to take me to the front door
My time here is over and I hope to sleep not on the floor
But I was wrong about that as he took me to my other home
Things looked very different with the Golden Arches dome
Clowns and burgers, fries and cold ice cream looking drinks
My mind was so confused about fast food my eye blinks
There used to be just Mom and Pop cafe’s and yummy shops
Candy stores and all the bars have closed giving up the pops
What the heck is going out here in this crazy different outside place
I really was used to the old world cafe with the table covered lace
No money or cash was used to get some food just a ID card
Yuck I don’t like this outside food the beef and bun is hard
