“DAD! DAD! THE T-REX IS OUT!! DAD! IT’S ON THE ROAD!! DAD! THERE’S CYCLISTS!! DAAAAD!!!”

My eyes snap open, I’d been having a nice nap till now. It takes me a second to process what the yelling was, who from and what exactly was happening, but then I jump up, hero dad mode engaged.

I run down to the road in my fluffy socks and a pair of flamingo shorts, and see the ominous scene ahead. The T-Rex is standing in the path of the cyclists.

I gently scoop him up and swiftly out the way of the approaching bikes.

“You scared me there little kitten” I say as I stroke the T-Rex that yawns and curls up in my arms, seeming unaware of the danger it just escaped.

I’d be fuming buts it’s so damn cute.
