Into A Thousand Pieces
I love you.
I will always love you but you will always love her
I ran after you as if you are running back and not away, I chased you even when you have made it clear
That I am not the one you were running to.
I jump after you as you call my name and hers.
I fall hopping that you will be there to catch me when I meet you at the bottom
But you are there to catch her because she jumped after you too
I crash and break into a thousand pieces.
As I scramble to put every pieces back in its places you worry over her cuts and bruise.
The pieces are never the same falling out with every step
Using books and music as tap and glue
Begging that you see all pieces missing.
But you don’t see.
You don’t see the lost parts
You don’t see the broken parts
You can’t see the scratch’s from what’s trapped inside
You can’t see the pain because you don’t want to know.
But then we are back at the ledge.
You calling to both of us
You fall and I watch her jump after you
And I jump too once again breaking into a thousand pieces.
Because I will never learn.
That you will catch her every time
And I will fall
Into a Thousand Pieces.
