Shades Of Blue

The love we shared, a beautiful design,

Now lies in tatters where the cold winds blow,

A cruel betrayal, sharp as winter's snow,

Has chilled my heart, and poisoned what was thine.

Your sweet nothings,just like a serpent's coil,

Strangled the blooms of love that we had sown.

Deception's weeds have choked the seeds we'd known,

Leaving behind a barren, sterile soil.

The wounds you carved will throb with every beat,

A constant echo of your broken vow.

Yet, though I grieve, my spirit will not bow.

Though I’m shattered, I will not embrace defeat,

This love, though lost, will forge a path anew,

And I will rise, reborn in shades of blue.
