It’s impossibly ugly this sweater

But I wear it each week no matter the weather

I don’t dare take it off until it’s old

And the string is coming out

My grandmother gave it to me

And for that I am grateful

But until it’s unusable

I will wear the ugly sweater everyday

To make her happy

Cause to her the string

Holds memories

Of old
