When I Look In The Mirror
Beauty. That’s all anyone ever looks for in a person, and in one’s self. No one looks past the make up or past the smile to see what no one wants you to see.
When I look in the mirror; I’m not the one looking back at my self. She is the one whom I see, not I. But I don’t mind, we’ve gotten pretty close over the years. There have been a few times where she has brutality tried to drag me through the mirror and trap me inside, but that’s nothing to worry about.
Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be the most beautiful, dazzling princess out there. So in order to do that I had to remove my fear, ugly, anxiety, and anger. I had to put them in a place where I could always keep and eye on them, but also somewhere they could never get out from.
So now every day when I look in the mirror, there she is. A hideous monster that used to control me; but no more. I have freed myself as all young girls should do. Slay your demons, or just make one by throwing all the things you don’t like about yourself into a mirror prison. To each their own, but let’s all agree it’s the only way to become The princess in everyone’s story.
