The smile disappeared, from her red puckered lips
Her body was perfect, holster hitched at her hips
Her target was obviously, a lost forgotten lover
She stayed hidden, like a detective under cover
She grins as she sips, her tasty glass of red wine
He should be arriving, by now watching the time
The creaking of the painted, flower covered gate
Reminds me that time is moving, not to be late
The hair of curl, and the beautiful white of gown
He thinks it’s date time, we’re going about town
He meets her at the front door, suit and even a tie
Sexy and marvelous is he, makes me want to cry
I must think about this, over and over again today
