Longing for sunshine

Wishing rain would cease

Hoping that love comes

Striving for peace

My dreams dance merely within my mind

They have never been the daring kind

But perhaps the problem starts with me

My failure to try to set them free

Maybe these things can still be real

Supposing someone finds the strength to feel

The strength to ignore the rain
