Defiant Desire
Desperate, longing
Beyond the threshold labeled
‘Too Far Gone’
Deep darkness surrounding
Chocking, drowning
Cold fingers grip muddy soil
On the edge of the cliff
Where helpless feet dangle
On the verge of demise
The temptation to let go
Lingering has the body groaning
Heart throbbing
Fire sears each artery
Stretch oh stretch
E’re closer calls death
Letting go frights depths
Even depths to soul
Yet what is this?
Defiant desire
Inspite of dispair
The hopless aquire
Inward fire
Light of thin air
A glimmer
A ray
The light of morning
Star of day
Relentlessly clinging
To hope amongst the lost
Under a shadow
In the shape of a cross
Determination
'There must be more!’
In searh of satisfaction
Beyond distant shore
Belief is what guides
One who lives
The same who dies
In hope
Made strides
Up the cliff it climbs
To die it must first be lived
What is despair but a calyst to destiny
'Defiant hope may be the death’
said he
'But if the last is breathed; so let it be’
