Not In The Shadows
“I hope you don’t turn out like the rest of your family, they always seem to look for trouble’, she says sternly. “Trust me that’s the last thing I’d want to do’, he mutters under he’s breath.
He watches her as she nods her head and walks away, not without giving him one last stern look, as if he’d do something dangerous at the moment.
“I hope you have a pleasant day”, is all she says as she turns and walks away, her robes swishing as she heads towards her office. He watches as students scurry away from the path of their headmistress, looks like nobody wants to get caught while she’s in a foul mood.
Bloody hell, it’s not even my fault, I mutter as I turn, when I hear the sound of the office door click shut.
It’s not like I’m trying to follow in the path that my brothers paved when they went to school here, I’m not going to be in the shadows. Not today or ever, I want to make my own friends and write my own future, even though it seems a bit far fetched since anything that I do won’t feel special since they’ve already done so much. I may be the youngest (well second if you count my sister) but I’ll be damned if people think I’m just another shadow of my brothers.
