The reference to sitting in heaven is so heartbreaking. If this is heaven I fear hell.

This time calls for change
I’m afraid, like a black hole, that we have crossed the event horizon. This is a time of change that we cannot escape. We can only delve deeper into the chaos and hope that the order which emerges is the order we need, not the hell encompassing us.
I'm actually a huge need when it comes to black holes and I know that all matter that falls into a black hole eventually comes back out changed.
This will pass because it has to.
We will change because we have to.

There is plenty we can do to stop a nation.
They aren't as strong as you think.
It tends to be money and trade where they fall short.
Due to interdependence and globalisation there are very little (and I mean literally just Russia) countries that don't rely on others
So boycotts and sanctions tend to do the trick
