Old To New

Rodger was standing with a glass of champagne and a golden smile.

Amelia immedialty felt the familiar pull in her heart.

I need to talk to him, she thought. Gingerly, she walked towards Roger. His sun-kissed skin and blonde hair drew her in. His smile was still the same, and his laugh, it was like water; Amelia could bathe in it.

“Rodger…” Amelia said walking in front of him. Rodger turned towards Amelia and almost fell at the sight of her. Her chestnut-brown hair and pale blue eyes looked just as they did 20 years ago. He didn’t spot a ring on her finger. And he too felt a familiar pull from his heart.

“Amelia…I- Hello, how’ve you been?” Rodger said with a hint of nervousness. Amelia blushed. “Good. It gets pretty lonely though.” “No husband?” “Nope.” Rodger smiled at Amelia, as she did at him. “You want to go out for a drink—“ “Yes,” Amelia said with excitement. Rodger smiled.

The two old lovers met again, and finally their love story began.
