Contest
The day of the secret contest, was about to start
Many humans attended, watching with their heart
Who would be the one, to claim the yearly prize yet
There was no answers, or even questions to even bet
Miles and miles of silver rounded, machine like things
Let’s open the doors they said, and see what it brings
The wooden platform stage like table, rose up in the air
It was covered with a zillion small dishes, taste to compare
Ooh’s and ahh’s were heard, across the small hungry place
Dangerous inviting smells floated toward, their mouth and face
One bite is all you get we heard, like we even know the rules
The owners of the daily taste, flew around like a bunch of fools
Going from one table of eats, to another making sure they hear
The tiny small glass near your eating plate, is a mystery for a tear
One of you will sip and drink, and feel no ache or pain, so have fun
”Take your shot, stranger. You’ll only get one.”
