Oh

Today was just an ordinary day for Jasper, he was making his way to his favorite cafe to get something to quench his thirst. He let out a soft sigh, opening the door to the building and inhaling the fresh scent of coffee and baked goods. A smile formed upon his face as he walked up to the counter and began to order.

“Can I please get a medium French Vanilla latte please?” He asked, looking at the barista. “Of course! What’s the name?” The barista asked, holding a Sharpie to the cup. “Jasper. Thank you.” The male simply replied, leaving the girl to do her job. He took a seat and patiently waited for his drink to get finished. After a moment or so, Jasper’s best friend had walked in. He smiled once he seen the other. “Hex!” He called out, waving at him to catch his attention. The robot looked at him, smiling instantly. “Hey Jasper! Funny catching you here!” He chuckled nervously, sitting down at the table with him. “Hex, you can’t drink anything. Why are you here?” He asked, making the robot more nervous.

Hex sighed and looked at him. “Fine. I’ll tell you.” He leans over. “You see that barista over there? Her name is Codi.” He blushed softly, looking at Jasper. “We’ve been talking for a while, but I still don’t know if she has a boyfriend. She never mentioned one before, but I think on her break I’m going to ask her out..” He smiled. Jasper nodded. “There you go bud! You got this!”

Codi noticed the two men talking, before she had called out Jasper’s name for his coffee. He stood up and smiled as he took the coffee from her hand. “Thanks!” He said, making his way back to the table. “Hey Hex!” She greeted him happily. “Hey!” Hex smiled, walking up to her. “Are you about to go on break soon?” He asked, looking at her. She nodded. “Right now.” She giggled softly, switching places with her other worker as she walked from behind the counter. She decided to sit with the two boys. “How’s your day, Hex?” She asked sweetly, resting her chin against her hand. “Ah, so far so good! I’ve been meaning to ask you something.”

That was Jasper’s cue to leave. “Oh crap, hey; I gotta go bud. I’ll text you later?” He smiled as he made his way out of the door. He sat against the wall outside, making sure everything went well for him. Hex took a deep breath, leaving Codi to be a bit confused. “What’s wrong, Hex?” She asked. “Codi ever since I met you, you make my circuits do something I’ve never experienced before..” He spoke. “I feel something in my chest when we talk or see each other.” She blushed softly. “I was wondering if you’d like to go out sometime?” He asked looking at her with a small smile.

Well, this was actually unexpected. Codi sat there for a moment, taking in everything she had just heard. “Hex, I’m very flattered that I make you feel that way.. But I see you as like a big brother..” She frowned and looked down. “I know I didn’t mention it, but I don’t like guys. I like girls..” Hex felt his heart break a little bit. “Oh..” He spoke, thinking for a moment. “That’s okay, I’m sorry for the confession. I hope it doesn’t make anything weird between us.” He chuckled softly, rubbing the back of his neck. She smiled and looked at him. “Of course not! Everything is okay, Hex.” He nodded as she stood up. “But my break is over. I’ll text you when I’m off okay?” Hex nodded as he stood up. “Alright! I’ll see you later.”

The robot walked out, jumping a bit when he seen his best buddy. “How did it go?” Jasper asked, looking at him. “She’s a lesbian.” He said, disappointed. “But that’s okay, she said nothing is going to be weird between us now.” He smiled lightly. Jasper frowned a bit. “I’m sorry, but there’s always more people to explore.” He patted his shoulder. “Let’s go home and play Fornite.” He smiled. “We can piss Whitty off.” He chuckled, making Hex happier. “I’d like that.” With that said, they made their way to his house to and made Whitty blow up that night.
