Auto Pilot
“I’m sorry but your daughter is not on this plane” an air hostess annnouced irritably. Ten minutes ago she’d seemed concerned now she looked Alliya up and down as if she were a lunatic.
“No but she is I’m sure of it “Alliya breathed
The air hostess who was but a girl not much older than 16 walked away eyes rolling. Alliya flopped down onto her chair defeatedly resting her head back and closing her eyes. Remembering.
Flashes filled the woman’s head. Visions Of little Emmy boarding the plain skipping between rowes to find there seats“ what a pretty dress” exclaimed an elderly lady gesturing to the flamingo patterned summer dress the little girl was sporting. “Thankyou” Emmy had giggled twirling as to send her skirts dancing infront of the woman’s eyes. “Look our seats” Alliya had declared pulling her daughter away . Emmy ran ahead smiling as she claimed the window seat her auburn hair…
That was it Alliya realised snapping out of her flashback.the lady would remember Emmy. Then real action would be taken to find her daughter. The woman clambered from her seat pushing through a mob of passengers to reach where the senior had sat. However now she stood panick stricken eyes on an air hostess.
“Sorry to seem as lazy as not to look myself” said the well spoken woman “but have you checked the bathrooms or perhaps…”
“He wouldn’t leave his seat without me” the old lady screeched exasperatedly as if she’d explained the fact many times. Alliya watched unable to rid herself of the feeling of intrusion yet some level of curiosity kept her feet glued to the carpet.
“My husband is Terrified of planes. It’s taken me ten long years of persuasion to get him on this one. We agreed that if boarded if he ever needed to leave his seat I’d accompany him. I was asleep for one moment and no more wake up and he’s gone. He’s gone I tell you.”
The older lady broke down into a flood of emotion.
“I’ll fetch the pilot” the air hostess whispered assertively.” Shuffling away hurriedly.
“Excuse me,” said a young man tugging at her sleeves “you haven’t seen my wife gave you she’s been gone best part of an hour now. “
All of a sudden the air craft was overtaken by shouts of panick and disspair. “Auntie josie, auntie where are you?” Alliya stumbled back to her seat Heart aching for the poor girl. What an earth was happening here?? She curled up covering her head and ears. “ please let Emmy be ok please” she prayed silently lifting her head momentarily just in time to see a group of distressed plane staff heading for the cock pit. She began to cry heavy, heavy grey tears.
“Out the lot of you pilots orders,” the co-pilot spat aggressively “go back to to erm well whatever your paid for.” The youngest of the air hostesses (the one who’d dealt with Alliya) shook her head in frustration “allright then she muttered” storming out of the small room. The others followed slowly behind all evidently disturbed by the co-pilots harsh word of displeasure. All but Charlotte the well spoken hostess. “But sir almost half the passengers are missing and those who arnt are in total dissaraey. She explained people are disappearing we need to act fast!
“OUT” bellowed the co-pilot accompanying his words with a minor shove. Charlotte stumbled out of the room. Well she’d done what she could. The rest was up to the pilot.
However that particular pilot who’d sat silently throughout the conversation with his plane staff now had a lot to say! “I said a few people smuggled to the luggage hold to sell of for labour” he spat not half the bloody passengers. What oaf did you put in charge if this. We’ll be arrested all of us.
The co-pilot shifted in his seat directing his eyeline anywhere but at the man beside him. “Too many people no” that only leaves one thing left to do.
The pilot glwowered! “SINK THIS STINKING SHIP”
The pilot pushed a leaver forwards angling the planes nose to the ground. Quick Seth I’m putting this thing into auto pilot we need to eject. Tighten your parachute!!
Charlotte rolled away just in time as whatever had landed next to her burst into a display of orange flames. She touched her head anxiously and saw a sticky layer of red cover her hand as she pulled it away.
“Goodness sir” Charlotte breathed as she spotted the co-pilot “we’ve really truly crashed!” “I won’t miss that annoying voice”he croaked. The Air hostess wasn’t far from death anyways he’d be putting her out of her misery. He shot her with his revolver.
“Seth” the pilot called “we’ll have to call for rescue we’ll say we tried to save everyone but failed and we’ll dispose of the survivors we shot over there! Let that be the end of this. The two men walked over the crash sight. Looking at all the bodies they’d taken the life out of. Covered in dust the body of a little girl lay on the floor. Seth couldn’t make out who she was as her face was in the dirt “pretty dress” he laughed “all covered in flamingos”
