Who I Am.
Blood stained her face, her loved one looking at her warily as she stared back at them menacingly.
“This is who I am, and there is no need to be afraid.” She said, stepping forward. He took a step back mirroring her. The pain on her face was visible even though she tried to hide it. The rush of adrenaline leaving her.
He looked disgusted and confused, and that broke her heart even more. She didn’t want him to see her as a monster, someone who would kill for fun, but it was completely necessary. Why couldn’t he see that?
“Please” She begged him, trying to ignore the crack of desperation in her voice. She dared to take just one more step closer, and this time he didn’t move a muscle.
“Now tell me, why would I be scared?” He said advancing on her in a seductive strut. The girl took a step back forgetting there was a wall there, flinching as her back touched the cold stone.
“Because I..”
“Come on, be a big girl”
“I… I… killed”
“Complete sentences, darling.”
“I… killed your brother.”
He brought his lips to her ear and whispered, “hmm that’s what I thought, I just have one thing to say to you angel,” he looked right into the girls eyes and placed one hand to the left of her head, their bodies just mere inches apart. Then she felt something in her stomach. Not butterflies exactly. In fact, it was more intense, kind of like an ache that made her breath leave her.
But it started to become more than an ache… it… burned.
She brought her hand to her stomach to find a cold, sharp knife maybe?
Her eyes widened and he grinned, forgetting his blank expression, seeming to like this reaction.
“No, love.” He said breathing the words against her neck, relishing the girls scream as he twisted his knife deeper “This is who I am. And I am not afraid of anyone. Not even you.” he pulled the knife out and admired the scarlet liquid as it shone in the light of the stars.
He crouched by her and she slid down the wall.
She never thought the last thing she would ever see was a gorgeous man standing in all black under the stars, licking her blood off of a dagger teasingly. The gore dripped in a satisfying steam, dying his lips a deep red in the inner parts of his mouth. He licked his lips as a drop of the girls blood fell onto his perfect cupids bow.
He made eye contact with her, and even after what he did, she couldn’t find a single flaw in his grey eyes. He winked at her like he didn’t just betray her.
“This was fun, love. Let’s do it again sometime.”
Then he turned and walked away still smiling. Not a single thought of sadness or panic, glad their little game was finally over.
