She wanted to know his secret. He hadn't decided what it was yet.

He had met this girl through a mutual friend, and the chemistry between them was instantaneous. He was admittedly not great at talking to women, but something he had read online said to remain "mysterious" in order to intrigue them. So far, it seemed to be working.

And so it was the words he had uttered moments ago that put him in this position.

"Bet you can't guess what I found out today."

He had blurted out the sentence without any sort of preparation for the answer.

"We literally just met, there is NO way that I could guess what you're thinking!" She drew her words out flirtatiously and laughed.

He had trapped himself with his own words and had no escape.
