The Right Word
I dreamt of you
last night
Though I’m not really sure why
You laughed and smiled
The whole time
And I basked in your light
You see, I admire you
Often from a distance
You’ve seen me
You know my name
But nothing else
I see you
I know your name
And I’ve wanted to know so much else
For a very long time
I’d like to get to know you
If ever given the chance
To know your smile
And the different tones of your laugh
To play with your hair
Oh, those soft brown locks
To hold your hands
Oh, those hands!
They play such wonderful music
The passion you pour in
To your piano
Just makes me love you more
Love? Is that the right word?
Can you love someone
If it’s only a crush?
Well, I love his laugh
His cute little smile
And his soft brown hair
I love his music
And his adorable humor
But what I really love
Is his heart
I’ve never seen it
Yet I’ve felt it from afar
From the way he keeps his friends
To the stupidest, funniest things he does
It’s the way he’s always been
Somehow a ran on sunshine on earth
So is love the right word?
Well, I’m not really sure
